my kitti had a hard time since auguest; she had injured her paw (probably, in a cat-fight) and it didnt go well. We took her to the Vet clinic and they told us the wound went inside and turned into abscess. We had a medication; three rounds... 3 times she looked like she turned ok after medication that obviously worked well... and then -- abscess again! ok, probably it is we are to blame, a bit... we didnt want her to wear a collar and a sock around her paw all of the time... That was a kind, but not a wise decision. So, finally we "tightened the nuts", and put that damn sock around the wounded paw again, now for a long time.
I didnt want to take pics of that damn collar, it was such a soul-tearing-apart-sight... but the sock thing was quite ok, here are a few shots.
the last round we were prescribed antibiotic tablets - 1 large tablet per day. cat versus a tablet - those who had this mental experience how to make a cat eat a tablet, they know what the catch is. well, we did it for two evenings, each time it was 20 minutes of violence and 5, 6, 7 takes... our cat was winning most of the time. on the 3rd day we tried a different technique, and I cannot but say a huge thanks to @nikv who shared this idea with us.
liquid! the big tablet can be turned into a liquid, which cannot be spit back, as in the case with a tablet. the things run more smooth right away. ofc there was a small portion of violence against kittie, but very fast and quite small. we looked into the instruction that came together with antibiotic, and -- voyla! -- discovered, that the tablets could be dissolved into a water, and suggested to a cat that way... just the portion should be taken at once, not in small fragments thru all the day.
ok, long story short, we didnt wanted to harry up but at recently we put away that silly, useful sock dress from her paw. happily, the peace is back!
