THE MISSING PIECE 🥹🥹…

It’s been four days since we crossed over into the new year and everything is looking so boring and dry for many reasons, it feels like I am still in the past and everything is moving so slow, and I am starting to think this is all a dream because I know how awesome and perfect these first four days was for me last year, I had the best Christmas and new year celebration while crossing over into 2023 and crossing over into 2024 just feels like a dream, thinking deeply about it just makes me feel like a big piece is missing from the picture and I am still yet to figure out what the missing big piece is…

I guess this is what happens when you end 2023 in a very boring and dry manner, it just feels like you missed out on something interesting and important, even with the fact that I had some friends over for the Christmas and new year celebrations, it still felt like I was incomplete, and there was something special missing…

I have been thinking about this for more than 2 days now and I think I finally figured out what the missing piece is, the missing piece was my mentor @burlarj, oh yeah it was him, I have known burl for more than a year now and it feels like we have known each other all our lives, the bond is just so strong and crazy, he has been a lot of things to me since we met each other last year, he has been a brother, a teacher, a friend, a gisting buddy and many more things to me in the last couple of months, left to me I would love be in his company everyday because of his positive spirit and influence in my life but guess what?, life has a way of separating two close friends at some point in time, life happened and took burl very far away but guess what?, that almost didn’t change anything because we still spend some quality time together but it is less compared to when he was still around, the fun and beautiful moments burl and I shared were one of my best 2023 highlights, even amidst our busy schedules, we both had time to celebrate festive seasons, we literally spent both Christmas and new year together last year…

We chatted on phone towards the end of 2022 and made plans on how to celebrate both Christmas and new year, we spent our 2022 Christmas apart and spent the new year(2023) together, I remember making a looting post about our outing on the first of January 2023, we went to ShopRite together and spent the whole day playing different games all by ourselves, we made a lot of memories that day, and thinking about it now just makes it more enjoyable and fun…

I had a blast ushering 2023 in, and for this new year I was just all by myself, burl was miles away, he and I spent hours chatting on the new year, I am sure if he was around, we would have made a plan of going out, it would just be me, his fiancé, him and probably his nieces and nephews, I guess we would have had a bigger family outing this year, but that didn’t happen because of distance…

Taking myself out to celebrate and enjoy the festive seasons wasn’t the problem, I could literally afford to give myself a big bang celebration, but the mood was missing, i thought of it a couple of times but then going all alone wasn’t the best solution, I wanted to celebrate the new year with my mentor just like we did in the previous year, but I guess it is what it is, life took that chance away from us and made us celebrate the new year apart, I celebrated the new year under my roof, I just ate and slept in like every other day, while enjoying the company of my Netflix and having a couple of friends over …

In summary, I guess this is expected to happen when you share a very strong and special bond with someone other than your own family members, I was able to enjoy the celebrations a bit because of my family but it would have been perfect if he was around too…

In conclusion, we will be 5 days into the new year in a bit, as it is 23:39 pm in my country right now, I woke up not quite long and I felt like I needed to express myself a bit before heading back to bed, and boom everything came out in a big bang lol, I will be signing off here as it’s been a crazy day for me today, bye for now lovelies and thanks for reading…
