The reference I used for this piece in a way looked French. The technique was light and the stroke blended into the work so perfectly that if the intention I had was to just replicate, you would be in love with the piece on first glance.
I like the buildup and the hairstyle he has. The original reference only had a shirt collar around his neck. I wanted to push further though but while at it, I settled at this.
I just knew you’d love it.
