Marinated pumpkin has a pleasant sweet-sour taste and aroma of fragrant spices. This dish is served as a side dish or savory snack.
In sugar at room temperature, dissolve sugar, add vinegar and pour the resulting marinade into slices (about 2 × 2 cm) of pumpkin. Cover the container with a lid or cling film and place in the refrigerator for 12 hours.
Then add spices to the pumpkin and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the flame and cook the pumpkin for another 7–15 minutes, until the pieces are easily punctured with a fork.
Allow the boiled vegetable to stand under the lid for half an hour, then remove the spices and place the pieces into a sterile hermetic container. Pickled pumpkin is ready and asks for your table!
