The day dawns cloudy and it seems to me an excellent opportunity to go out and take some pictures, since these days the light filters through the clouds and everything looks softer and more delicate, shadows and lights are closer to each other and the true colors of things are discovered, in their most natural state.
I leave in my electric scooter to Old Havana, thinking about what kind of pictures I want to take today, I'm on an architectural side, so I think that's the way to go.
Havana lately has a bestial degree of deterioration and it is strongly reflected in its facades, for a moment I wonder if I want to reflect a destroyed city as is, or perhaps highlight the few buildings that still retain their integrity, the first idea is somewhat depressing and the second a little false, so I will look for a middle ground and try to find the beauty hidden in each wall.
Amanece el día nublado y me parce una excelente oportunidad para salir a tomar unas fotos, ya que en estos días la luz se filtra entre las nubes y todo tiene un aspecto más suave y delicado , sombras y luces están más cerca entre ellas y se descubren los verdaderos colores de las cosas, en su estado más natural.
Salgo en mi escuter eléctrica con destino a La Habana vieja, pensando en que tipo de fotos deseo tomar hoy, ando en una faceta de arquitectura, así que creo que por ahí está la ruta.
La Habana últimamente tiene un grado de deterioro bestial y se refleja contundentemente en sus fachadas , por un momento me pregunto si quiero reflejar una ciudad destruida tal cual , o acaso resaltar los pocos edificios que aún conservan su integridad, la primera idea es algo deprimente y la segunda un poco falsa, así que buscaré un punto intermedio y trataré de encontrar la belleza escondida en cada muro .

This building, near San Rafael street, is really imposing in spite of its rickety appearance, and I really liked the yellow contrast of its sparse painted area against the blue background.
Este edificio, cerca de la calle San Rafael, es realmente imponente a pesar de su destartale , y me gustó mucho el contraste amarillo de su escasa zona pintada contra el azul del fondo
The Orthodox church, the only one of its kind in the city as far as I know, stands out enormously for its golden domes.
La iglesia ortodoxa , única de su tipo en la ciudad hasta donde conozco y que resalta enormemente por esas cúpulas doradas
And I end with this building near the Alameda de Paula that caught my attention with its shapes and its faded color, closing with the yellow bici-moto on the door.
Y termino con este edificio cercano a la Alameda de Paula que llamó mi atención con sus formas y su color desteñido , cerrando con el bici-moto amarillo en la puerta
