Since I moved into my current room, I've always wanted to have a gaming chair that looks really comfortable to sit on and work at my desk, but I still don't have the financial resources to buy one. All this time I've been sitting on a stool that has damaged my posture and that causes me back pain; I need a chair to lean on the backrest when I'm working. In the patio of my house I have a lot of paraphernalia that I sometimes look through to see if I can find something useful. I found a chair that was a little rusty and had very deteriorated legs, so I set out to restore it.
Desde que me mude a mi actual habitaci贸n, siempre he querido tener una silla gamer de esas que se ven bien c贸modas para sentarme a trabajar en mi escritorio, pero todav铆a no cuento con los recursos econ贸micos para comprarla, todo este tiempo he estado sent谩ndome en un banquito que me tiene la postura da帽ada y eso me genera dolores de columna; necesito una silla para poderme apoyar en el espaldar cuando est茅 trabajando. En el patio de mi casa tengo mucha parafernalia que a veces reviso para ver si encuentro algo de utilidad, encontr茅 una silla que estaba un poco oxidada y ten铆a las patas muy deterioradas, as铆 que me propuse a restaurarla.
The chair I found in the yard had four very damaged legs. I had to use an aluminum tube that was almost the same thickness as the chair legs. The tube was almost two meters long and served to reinforce and level all the legs. The structure of the chair was now more stable.
La silla que encontr茅 en el patio ten铆a las 4 patas muy deterioradas, tuve que usar un tubo de aluminio que era casi del mismo grosor del que ten铆an las patas de la silla, el tubo med铆a casi los dos metros de largo y me sirvi贸 para reforzar y nivelar todas las patas, la estructura de la silla ya estaba m谩s estable.
A couple of months ago I was invited to collaborate with a project that specializes in weaving and they had a big commission, they required my help, there I learned to weave with PVC warp, when we finished that project, I brought some scraps of warp of various colors, because I already had in mind to materialize this project; I am going to cover the structure of the chair with a warp fabric in various colors, but first I covered it with a little black paint to cover all the rust it had.
Hace un par de meses atr谩s me invitaron a colaborar con un proyecto que se especializa en tejidos y ten铆an un gran encargo, requer铆an de mi ayuda, all铆 aprend铆 a tejer con urdimbre de pvc, cuando culminamos ese proyecto, yo me traje algunos retazos de urdimbres de varios colores, porque ya ten铆a en mente materializar este proyecto; la estructura de la silla la voy a cubrir con un tejido de urdimbre en varios colores, pero antes la cubr铆 con un poco de pintura negra para fondear todo el 贸xido que ten铆a.
This is one of those chairs used by party agencies, it was not designed for this type of weaving, that is why it took me a little time to weave it, since I had to improvise in many places where the structure had cross tubes that did not allow me to weave fluidly, I had to come up with solutions that looked aesthetically acceptable in order to continue weaving; also selecting the color palette was a complicated process, because I had about 10 different colors, but in some colors I had little warp and that is why I had to redo the color palette several times, until I was able to make one that would allow me to leave a good aesthetic on the chair while respecting the chromatic aspect and that would have enough warp to cover the entire chair.
Esta es una silla de esas que usan las agencias de festejo, no fue dise帽ada para este tipo de tejidos, por eso me tomo un poco de tiempo tejerla, ya que ten铆a que improvisar en muchos lugares en donde la estructura ten铆a tubos transversales atravesados que no me permit铆an tejer con fluides, ten铆a que ingeniarme soluciones que se vieran est茅ticamente aceptables para poder seguir tejiendo; tambi茅n seleccionar la paleta de colores fue un proceso complicado, porque ten铆a unos 10 colores diferentes, pero de algunos colores ten铆a poco urdimbre y por eso tuve que rehacer varias veces la paleta de color, hasta que pude elaborar una que me permitiera dejar una buena est茅tica en la silla respetar el aspecto crom谩tico y que me rindiera el urdimbre para cubrir toda la silla.
This was the final result of several days of work. I loved the final color palette. The chromatic range creates a very pleasant feeling and harmonizes very well with the space where it is located. However, since this chair has several tubes running through the base, it makes the seat not at all comfortable. I will soon design a cushion that fits perfectly with the chair. For now, I will continue with my happiness that I already have a chair for my desk, restored by me. I hope you like this post. Good vibes.
Este fue el resultado final de varios d铆as de trabajo, me encanto la paletas de colores final, la gama crom谩tica genera una sensaci贸n muy agradable, armoniza muy bien el espacio en donde se encuentra, aunque esta silla como tiene varios tubos atravesados en la base, hace que el asiento no sea nada c贸modo, pronto le voy a dise帽ar un coj铆n que se amolde perfectamente con la silla, por ahora a continuar con mi felicidad de que ya tengo una silla para mi escritorio restaurada por m铆.
