For several days now, I've been sharing my experiences since being selected as one of the 21 young artists who inaugurated the first Regional Emerging Art Salon at the Museum of Fine Arts in Caracas, Venezuela. This exhibition ran from September 2025 to March 2026; it was a wonderful six months during which I met many lovely people. But like everything, this art exhibition also has a closing.
Llevo varios d铆as compartiendo las experiencias que he estado viviendo desde que fui seleccionado para participar como uno de los 21 artistas j贸venes que hemos inaugurado el primer Sal贸n Regional de Arte Emergente en el museo de Bellas Artes en la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela. Esta exposici贸n duro en sala desde septiembre del a帽o 2025, hasta marzo del presente a帽o 2026; fueron seis meses maravillosos donde pude conocer much铆simas personas agradables, pero como todo, esta muestra de arte tambi茅n tiene un cierre.
Today I've come to share the culmination of a process that will open countless wonderful opportunities for my professional career in the art world. The day began with a full house at the Museum of Fine Arts. The museum director, along with the curators of the emerging art exhibition, addressed the audience and then introduced each of the 21 participants in the art show.
Hoy he venido a compartir el cierre de un proceso que iniciar谩 un sin fin de oportunidades maravillosas para mi carrera profesional dentro del mundo del arte. La jornada comenz贸 con un aforo lleno en el museo de Bellas Artes, el director del museo junto a los curadores del sal贸n de arte emergente, ofrecieron unas palabras para el p煤blico y luego presentaron a cada uno de los 21 participantes de la muestra de arte.
Something curious and fortunate that happened to me was that at that moment one of the curators who had the microphone mentioned that the emerging art salon had an award and 4 proposals were selected; I was the first winner with my installation proposal entitled "METRO-VERSE" I was given recognition and I have secured my place for the 2027 Southern Biennial that is held here in the country.
Algo curioso y afortunado que me paso fue, que en ese momento uno de los curadores que ten铆a la palabra en el micr贸fono, comento que el sal贸n de arte emergente ten铆a una premiaci贸n y quedaron seleccionadas 4 propuestas; yo quede como el primer ganador con mi propuesta instalativa titulada "METRO-VERSO" me dieron un reconocimiento y tengo asegurado mi puesto para la bienal del sur 2027 que se realiza aqu铆 en el pa铆s.
Then we went to the exhibition hall for a guided tour and a final group activity with the visitors to bring the art show to a close. All the participating artists had the opportunity to discuss their work with the public, and several friends from the art university were able to attend the closing, which was fantastic.
Luego pasamos a la sala de exposici贸n para realizar una visita guiada y una 煤ltima actividad colectiva con el p煤blico visitante para dar un buen cierre a la muestra de arte. Todos los artistas participantes pudimos hablar sobre nuestras propuestas con el p煤blico, aparte varios amigos de la universidad de artes pudieron venir al cierre y eso fue algo muy genial que visitaran la muestra.
The last activity we did was a kind of collective performance in which we involved everyone who was there at that moment. The activity consisted of everyone having to make a drawing and joining them together on a canvas that was on the floor while a performing artist carried out a performance among the whole group; even the museum directors participated in the activity.
La 煤ltima actividad que hicimos fue una especie de performance colectivo en el que involucramos a todos los que estuvieron en ese instante, la actividad consisti贸 en que todos ten铆as que realizar un dibujo e irlos uniendo en un lienzo que estaba en el piso mientras una artista esc茅nica realizaba un performance entre todo el conglomerado; hasta los directivos del museo participaron en la actividad.
This experience was truly extraordinary and enriching. Having the opportunity to hold my first contemporary art exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts is the best thing that has happened to me in the art world so far, and I am very happy that my proposal stood out enough to receive first place in this first regional emerging art exhibition. Esta experiencia fue verdaderamente extraordinaria y muy enriquecedora, haber tenido la oportunidad de que mi primera exposici贸n de arte contempor谩neo se realizara en el museo de Bellas Artes es lo mejor que me ha pasado dentro del mundo del arte hasta este momento y me siento muy feliz de haber destacado con mi propuesta para que me dieran un reconocimiento como el primer lugar de este primer sal贸n regional de arte emergente. Espero que esta experiencia les haya gustado, buenas vibras.
