Art has been a part of my life since birth, but it was only over the years that I truly understood what "ART" was. Six years ago, I decided to dedicate myself seriously to the visual arts and embarked on a research process to understand how to use these creative abilities. This has allowed me to develop activities that provide me with income and have helped stabilize my finances. One of these artistic activities that provides me with a source of income is tattooing. I'm still a beginner at it, but I'm progressing steadily. El arte ha estado en mi vida desde el nacimiento, solo que en el transcurso de los años fue que entendí lo que era realmente el "ARTE"; desde hace 6 años decidí dedicarme a las artes plásticas seriamente y me adentré en un proceso de investigación para comprender como usar estas habilidades creativas; esto me ha permitido ir desarrollando actividades que me dejan ingresos monetarios y me han conducido a estabilizar mi economía. Una de esas actividades que desde el arte me permiten tener una fuente de ingresos económicos, es el arte del tatuaje, en esto todavía soy un neófito, pero paso a paso avanzo de manera progresiva.
Today I'm sharing the 9th tattoo I've done since I decided to take this profession seriously; this time it's a cover-up of an old tattoo the client has on her arm, this will be the first cover-up I've done. Hoy les vengo a compartir el tatuaje número 9 que he realizado desde que decidí tomarme esta profesión seriamente; en esta ocasión se trata de una cobertura de un tatuaje viejo que tiene la cliente en el brazo, esta será la primera cobertura que realizo.
The client is my friend, but we were also a couple for a few years, so I know her and I know when she got the tattoo (immature youthful decisions), which is why I understand why she wants to cover it up. The old tattoo is the word "Caracas" (the capital city of Venezuela), but it's also written in the font of a national baseball team, "Los Leones del Caracas". La cliente es mi amiga, pero también fuimos pareja por unos cuantos años, con esto quiero decir que la conozco y se cuándo se hizo el tatuaje (decisiones de jóvenes inmaduros) por eso comprendo bien que se lo quiera cubrir. El tatuaje viejo es una palabra "Caracas" (la ciudad capital de Venezuela) pero también está escrita con la tipografía de un equipo de béisbol nacional "los leones del caracas".
I created a unique design of my own, wanting to maintain the same concept of representing the city of Caracas; so I added two icons that represent contemporary Caracas very well: "El Ávila mountain," a national park, a group of mountains that separates the city from the Caribbean Sea, and "the macaw," a small winged neighbor that abounds in the skies of the city, perching on the terraces and trees throughout the capital. Realice un diseño único de mi autoría, quise mantener el mismo concepto de la representación de la ciudad de Caracas; así que agregue dos iconologías que representan muy bien la Caracas contemporánea, "el cerro El Ávila" un parque nacional, un conjunto de montañas que separa a la ciudad del mar caribe, y "la guacamaya" que es un pequeño vecino alado que abunda en los cielos de la ciudad, posándose en las terrazas y arboles de toda la capital.
The design is a bit surreal, playing with the absurd and sarcastic aspects of everyday life. For my first piece, it turned out really well. Each new project I do is the culmination of everything I've learned from previous ones. I'm truly happy that I can have such enriching creative experiences every day. I hope you enjoy it. Good vibes. El diseño es un poco surrealista, juega con lo absurdo y sarcástico de la cotidianidad; para ser mi primera cobertura quedo muy bien, cada nuevo trabajo que realizo es la suma de todo lo aprendido en los antecesores. Me alegra de verdad que cada día pueda realizar experiencias creativas así de enriquecedoras, espero sean de su agrado, buenas vibras.
