Upon occupying the city, my intelligence units managed to steal the "Fusion Power" technology. While gaining a new technology is usually a cause for celebration, in this context, it paints a deeply concerning picture. This confirms that the Dahomeans have reached the final tier of the game's technology tree. Consequently, they are likely already deep into a space race that could grant them a scientific victory. If I do not act immediately, their technological lead will render my territorial gains irrelevant, forcing me to shift from conventional warfare to more drastic measures.

To prevent a scientific defeat, I have decided to implement two radical strategic shifts. First, I will concentrate the bulk of my available forces for a massive offensive against the highly developed city of Santa Catarina. This urban center is a pillar of their empire; by capturing it, I will deprive the Dahomeans of a massive source of income, production, and research points. Striking their scientific heart is no longer an option, but a mechanical necessity to stall their progress toward the stars and bring the conflict back to the terrestrial plane where my military excels.

Second, I have authorized the start of our own nuclear program by initiating "The Manhattan Project" wonder.
