Yo tambi茅n me anim茅 a intentar algunos holds.
Greetings to all Hive users and SWC athletes! I hope you are enjoying an excellent day. On this occasion, I want to share a session at the bars park where we defied the weather conditions to continue progressing in the planche. I hope you like it!
Dear readers, discipline is tested when conditions are not ideal. During a humid night, following a rainy afternoon, I met my student Rafael at the bars park to fulfill a corresponding objective: to improve the straddle planche.
Despite the humidity and residual cold, we picked up the the parallettes, the perfect tool for planche training. The grip was vital, as the wet surface demanded extra concentration to ensure stability.
I assigned Rafael several straddle planche holds and attempts. Each repetition became heavier due to fatigue, but consistency is the only way to achieve the time under tension necessary to adapt the motor pattern.
I also encouraged myself to try some holds. While performing my own repetitions, I took the opportunity to explain the corresponding technique to my student. I reminded him of the necessity for maximal scapular protraction and maintaining the body's forward lean to lengthen the lever and simulate the full position.
The straddle planche is a skill that requires absolute mind-muscle connection. Rafael performed some final holds with maximum concentration, fighting to maintain the straight line despite muscle trembling.
Once the static phase had exhausted us, we moved on to complementary exercises. We finished the routine with tucked planche push ups (to build dynamic pushing strength in the progression) and bar dips (fondos en paralelas) to finish the shoulders and triceps with intense volume.
The humid night ended up being one of those sessions where both physical and mental strength are gained. Rafael's commitment is exemplary, and every straddle planche attempt brings us closer to the mastery of the full planche.
Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for the next posts! Until next time!
