Greetings to all Hive users and SWC athletes! I hope you are doing very well and continue with the spirit and discipline to carry out your training. On this occasion, I want to share a high-intensity session focused on the front lever, where mental focus was decisive in overcoming the distractions of the environment.
Dear readers, training in a crowded environment tests not only our physical strength but also our ability to concentrate. The park was full of people, each focused on their specific goals; despite the buzz around me, I decided to focus on my front lever routine. Achieving that state of "flow" amidst the park's activity is fundamental to executing static elements with the precision they require.
To document the progress of this day, I had the support of a colleague from the bars. I asked my friend @luisduran-sw to take photos while I performed the following exercises: touch front lever, front lever hold plus press, and front lever hold with a wide supinated grip. Starting with the touch front lever allowed me to activate my lats to the maximum, seeking that solid contact of the bar with the abdominal area. Subsequently, the combination of hold plus press challenged my dynamic endurance in the horizontal, a variation that demands absolute scapular control.
To finish the most demanding part, I executed the hold with a wide supinated grip. This variation shifts the load very aggressively toward the biceps and the shoulder joint, being an excellent thermometer to measure current stability. At all times, I was focused on performing the best possible technique in each exercise, prioritizing retraction and total elbow lockout. I leave the park extremely satisfied, reaffirming that when the focus is clear, the outside noise becomes insignificant before the will to improve.
Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts! Until next time!
