Hello everyone. After the storm cut my last session short, I prepped all my gear early in the day, eager for a proper night of fishing with a friend. He was already at the pier, so I made sure to get there as quickly as I could. Despite the spot being wide-open and spacious, I was surprised to find quite a few people scattered along the dock—families hanging out, groups of acquaintances catching up, and stray cats stealthily eyeing the bait and whatever catches were brought ashore.
My friend suggested we set up at one of the far ends of the pier where there was more room to breathe. Even over there, a few families were trying their luck. The bait was abundant, but the fish simply weren't biting. Out of our entire group, only one person managed to pull out a single fish—the one I snapped a photo of. Still, the outing wasn't a loss by any means. I used the time to refine my hand-reel casting technique without a rod, practice a few key knots to assemble my fishing rigs, and trade tips and stories with the guys.
Ultimately, the best part of the night wasn't the size of the catch, but the good conversations, the quiet sound of the sea, and heading back home late with a clear mind ready for a peaceful night's sleep.
Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts! Until next time!
