I want to talk to you about memory. as always we will begin by explaining what memory is: it is a function of the brain that allows us to store and retain information.
There are three important types of memory: sensory memory, short-term memory and long-term memory.
The sensory memory consists of retaining the information for a very short time which is acquired by means of images, sounds, tastes and smells.
Short-term memory organizes, analyzes and interprets the information.
Finally, the long-term memory contains autobiographical information, social and cultural knowledge and its capacity is unlimited.
Memory is like a work of art in which past and present experiences are explained. This can be affected by age, psychological damage, physiological damage, accidents among others.
In my experience with family and friends I have come to the conclusion that most people do not give importance to memory until we reach an advanced age, very few people put into practice during their lives activities that strengthen memory. There are very good activities such as chess, memory, reading, learning new languages among others.
Memory always starts to fail when age increases, but we can reduce that failure by putting into practice the aforementioned activities.
The mind is wonderful, has many functions and allows us to live day to day. it is important to preserve it and take care of it as a painter takes care of his work of art.
Thanks for reading my blog.
