Sometimes, there are certain situations you see happen to someone else, and you just pray that something like that never happens to you.

Ever since I got here, the nights here have always been something else. I remember hearing a guy talk about how much he hated to hear people snore and how that completely ruins a good sleep for him. But I had tried to make them understand that when it comes to snoring, there is almost little to nothing that the person snoring can do about it.

He had tried to counter the argument, saying that there are certain ways one could sleep and not snore, and that was when his friend stepped into the conversation, telling him how almost impossible it was.

Well, fast-forward to later that morning, and it turned out that they were a couple of guys in our hostel who snore really badly. I had actually been woken up by the noise of the boys complaining about it, threatening to take secret videos of them and post them online. They were saying this right in front of the poor, helpless guys.

That was probably one moment where I felt really sorry and sad for them. Unfortunately that whole conversation hasn't ended since then because the boys have refused to let it be. Every morning they wake up, making fun of these guys, while these guys just sit down there and take it.

It's almost like they feel guilty about the entire thing, even though they know within themselves that there really isn't much to do to stop snoring, not in a place like this.

And as if to make matters worse, one of the rude guys had spoken to them directly last night, saying that if anyone snored tonight, then he was going to make sure that person didn't sleep. Because in his mind, you snoring means you don't want him to have a good rest, so why should you?
