I hope you all have fun. Each photograph in today's post describes the beauty of the beautiful lake of water formed by the Pandav Fall. Pandav Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh state in India.
Pandav Falls is about 15 kilometers from Panna. If you want to visit this place and you come by flight, then you have to come to Khajuraho first. From Khajuraho, Pandav Falls is located at a distance of about 35 kilometers. I loved the natural beauty of Pandav Falls. We visited Pandav Falls during summer. Water scarcity occurs in summer but this Pandav Falls used to flow water even in summer. Another feature of this place was that we came here in summer. This place is about 200 feet to 250 feet below the ground. The temperature outside was around 38C to 40C but that heat was not felt here. There were 2 reasons for this, one is that this place was surrounded by green trees and there were also beautiful water falls here. I really liked this place.
In the summer time, there is a shortage of water in the area, so the water of this waterfall decreases in the summer. This water flows from between the stones. So the guide here told us that many natural minerals are also found in this water and many diseases can be avoided by consuming this water. This spring continues for 12 months and the water of this spring goes further and merges into the river Ken. Ken River is also a major tributary of Panna.
To reach this Pandav Falls, one has to descend about 250 steps and come to the shore of the lake. In the photographs above, the stone steps and iron railings can be seen. This iron railing emerges from among the trees and leads down towards the lake. The 2nd photograph in the above 2 photographs shows more of the lake. If you look at that lake, it is divided into 2 colors, one color is green which is due to the green trees and the other is blue which is due to the blue sky. This photograph is my favorite photograph among all these photographs.
Another beauty of this lake is its trees and its greenery. The lake is 200 feet below the ground level but due to the trees one cannot guess this depth. Even after Vali, the water here never decreases and the temperature here is controlled even in summer. Due to which small plants and vines get favorable environment for growth. Wherever you look in these photographs, greenery and water can be seen as part of nature. This feature is also reason enough to visit this place.
In the above photograph I have tried to capture the springs in the camera from among the trees and in some I have captured the beautiful lake from among the trees. Here we were accompanied by a guide who said that this lake is shaped like a heart. But if you ask me, I will say that I did not see anything like that. The area is surrounded by forest so wildlife sightings are also frequent. There were also beehives on the trees here. The guide also showed us a tree that had bear paw prints on it. The bear climbed the tree to eat honey. Those were astonishing moments. It was not unusual for wild animals to come here due to the presence of water. But this place is safe as it is under the surveillance of wildlife guards.
Above are 3 photographs in which I have captured the reflection in the lake water from different angles. In one photograph the reflection of green trees can be seen in the lake. So in the second footgraph, the reflection of the stone and the trees growing on it can be seen. I am sure you will love all these photographs.
Apart from that, many mythological beliefs are also associated with Pandav Falls. One of the open beliefs is that the Pandavas stayed here to spend their time in obscurity. Due to which this place is named Pandav Falls. Many caves are also built here. It is said that the Pandavas used these caves during their ignorance to come and go so that they would not be seen by anyone. Along with this, Chandrashakar Azad, who played a major role in the freedom struggle against the British, also hid from the British and held a meeting here. A statue of him has also been made in Sahruat who comes to visit this place. I will also make a post in detail on the fact that there are many caves here.
