Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Just another ordinary Sunday and the stepping continued unabated. It is actually the first Sunday of November. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹. Then celebrations as Kenyans shone in the new York marathon🎉. Congratulations to them though Ethiopia giving us serious competition😿.
Globally, the devastation in Gaza continued as Israeli bombs struck around hospitals and refugee camps🙀.
Israel has now surrounded Gaza city and will intensify the bombings in northern Gaza.
Also trending, US secretary of state, Anthony Blinken continued his diplomatic push in the region. He visited Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah before heading off to Iraq.He said the US was trying to avoid escalation of the war.
Lets go to Europe, a hostage situation at Hamburg airport involving a young child ended after 18 hours😿. A 35 year old man drove through a security barrier and on to the airport tarmac on Saturday night with his 4year old daughter in the car and parked under a plane🙀. He eventually gave himself up to the authorities without resistance.
Àlso trending, Ukraine's military chiefs are facing growing criticism over a recent Russian missile strike that is believed to have caused heavy Ukrainian casualties🙀.
Ukrainian media and Russian military bloggers say more than 20 Ukrainian soldiers killed at award ceremony near the southern front lines😭. Ukraine's military has not yet given casualty figures of what it says was a tragedy in the zaporizhzhia region😿.
Finally, in crazy weather flooding reported in parts of northern Kenya following heavy rainfall🙀. Lots of destruction as homes and crops in the fields swept away. It will take time but am sure normality will resume in the affected areas💯.
