Hello everyone 👋,
Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Another wonderful and active day is fading away fast, am so thankful and grateful for it. Before bedtime 😴 let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and share some of the trending stories. Thank you for stopping by and let's dive in 💨.
I kicked off the day with a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning as I made my way. A short walk that I enjoyed and then I was back indoors thirty minutes later. I then rested for a while, caught up with emails, watched the news and then the usual chores around the house.
My next stepping came later in the afternoon going to the city centre for some errands. This time a cloudy day as I made my way. It was nap time when I got back indoors, I woke up some time early evening and got on with the cooking, watching a little bit of news and youtube .Next came the evening or sunset walk, it looked like it would rain but it didn't and I made it back home safe and sound. Now let's quickly look at what has been trending in the news today.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, Kenyan president visiting China talking development projects.
Globally, the world's attention firmly on the middle east war between Israel and Hamas. The death toll at yesterday's Gaza hospital strike is at 471😭. The total death toll has exceeded 4,000😿.Thousands of displaced people had been sheltering at the hospital when the strike hit. The Israeli army has denied involvement and blames the attack on a misfired Palestinian rocket🙀.
The Egyptian govt will be opening the Rafa Border crossing for aid to flow into Gaza. There are atleast 20 trucks with aid waiting at that border, hopefully they can go in.
Also trending,President Biden met Israeli PM Netanyahu, amid angry protests across the middle east. President Biden assuring Israel full US support even as Iran threaten to take action if Israel carry out ground invasion into Gaza🙀.
Meanwhile, British PM Rishi Sunak is headed to Israel tomorrow. Something's gotta give in this region, let's hope diplomacy will persist and that there will be a ceasefire💯.
Over in Europe, more than 400 animals, mainly cats and dogs, have been rescued from a trafficking network in Spain 🙀. The gang is suspected to be illegally importing animals into Spain from eastern Europe via Andorra before selling them on to make a profit😡.
In crazy weather, there are reports of flooding in Ghana after a suspected dam break🙀. They had to have controlled spillage of some dams to avoid catastrophe. Let's hope everything will be alright💯.
