Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news including crypto. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day.
On the continent, the ECOWAS summit was meeting in Abuja to discuss the political crisis in Niger. They agreed that constitutional order has to be restored in Niger. Troops may have to be sent in🙀.
Globally, Iran trending as five US prisoners were moved from prison and onto house arrest. Meanwhile US will release $6 billion dollars of Iran money held in south Korea. However, they will not get it direct as it will be released to Qatar 🙀. These political deals are a bit complicated to explain😹.
Russia also trending as they launched their first space mission in fifty years. They plan to land on the south pole of the moon🌕.
Speaking of space, let's go across the pond to the US where virgin galactic has flown it's first tourists to the edge of space. The space plane landed back in New Mexico after a brief flight that gave passengers a few minutes of weightlessness😹.
Still in the US, president Biden has declared a major disaster in Hawaii where wild fires have caused deaths and damage😭.
Ecuador under a state of emergency after a presidential candidate was assassinated😭. He was 59. Suspects in the assassination believed to be foreign and I hope they are all brought to book💯.
Finally, in crazy weather flooding reported in parts of Norway and down in south Korea where storm Khanun has been wrecking havoc causing evacuation of thousands🙀.
