I knew it was going to be a big step day when the trek started… but 32k was still a surprise.
The day began with trekking, which naturally took care of a big chunk of the movement. The trail had a nice mix of steady walking and a few tougher sections, so there was plenty of time to get the heart rate up without really thinking about exercise.
Along the way, I mixed in some easy jogging where the path allowed, and later added a few simple exercises. The rest of the day was filled with normal activities, plus some relaxed walks after lunch and dinner. By then, my legs were definitely feeling the distance, but the fresh air and being outdoors made it worth it.
When I finally checked my tracker, it showed 32k steps. Definitely more than a normal day!
Days like this remind me that movement feels completely different when you're exploring somewhere instead of simply trying to hit a number. The steps become part of the experience rather than the goal.
