Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. We are onto a new week and hopefully you are having a great day this far. Mine has been ok and as the day draws to a close, am raring to go with some of the day's trending news and my stepping activities. Thank you for stopping by yet again and let's get cracking 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. Otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Israel trending as five killed and at least 90 wounded in an Israeli raid on Jenin camp😭. An Israeli apache helicopter fired on building in Jenin in first aerial attack in occupied west bank in 20 years🙀. Seven Israeli soldiers injured during that confrontation.
Then Russia trending as jailed opposition leader, Navalny was in court yet again facing more charges that could lead to a 30 year sentence🙀. Definitely politically motivated charges💯.
Let's go down to China where US secretary of state, Anthony Blinken has met and had talks with president Xi Jing ping. They agreed to stabilize ties and later in a few weeks president Biden will be meeting Xi.
Across the pond in North America, search and rescue operations are underway in the Atlantic ocean after a submersible went missing🙀. The vessel was taking tourists to the wreck of the titanic at a depth of 3,800 metres. The expedition costs $150,000 per person and starts in Canada's Newfoundland province. It's the size of a truck and normally carries 5 people.Let's hope they find it💯.
Finally in crazy weather, tornadoes reported in Mississippi. Meanwhile in the south, heatwave has spurred thunderstorms, flooding and power outages from Florida to Texas, leaving many without electricity🙀.
Heatwave also reported in some areas of India where the heat has led to deaths😭.
