Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Just another ordinary Sunday and the stepping continued unabated. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌳. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day. Worldwide people have been celebrating Father's day, I guess it's congratulations 🎉 to all fathers🎊 except the deadbeats😹.
On the continent, thousands of desperate Sudanese have been arriving in Chad to escape violence in western Darfur🙀. Aid groups are overwhelmed by the unfolding humanitarian crisis.
Trending in the middle east, Israel's hardline coalition govt has approved plans for thousands of new housing units in the occupied west bank🙀. The far right finance minister has been given sweeping powers to expedite the construction of illegal settlements, bypassing measures that have been in place for 27 years. This move will definitely escalate tensions in the region.
Then china trending as US secretary of state, Blinken is on a two day trip in Beijing aimed at mending the relationship between china and USA. He was to take this trip earlier then that spy balloon showed up in the US and the trip was cancelled😹. Let's hope something good comes from this trip.
Finally, across the pond in the US, the Feds are quietly dropping 5 charges against FTX founder Sam Bankman Fried, 8 more charges still to go. Word on the street is that he will most likely skip jail🙀. He is probably ratting out everyone in the crypto space, telling the feds all dirty secrets in exchange for his freedom😹. We will see how it all unfolds in the coming days.
