Happy Caturday 🐈 from Bob and yours truly😹. A warm welcome and thank you for stopping by yet again 👏. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain for a while 😻. Let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including some trending stories. You know the drill 💨.
So just like yesterday, it was an amazing morning session , brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice walk as I enjoyed the wonderful breeze 🍃 A beautiful sunny day as I made my way. Anyways, back indoors I did rest a while before embarking on the household chores, mostly cleaning and tidying up. Then I watched some news and checked crypto. The next walking got me going to the mall later in the afternoon for some cooking groceries. Next I was back for the usual refreshing nap. After the nap I did some cooking, watched some youtube before heading out for the slow paced evening walk. So that's how the day went and it's now time to quickly look at what's trending.
Locally, nothing much but the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going.
In neighbouring Uganda, at least 41 people have been killed in an attack on a secondary school in western part of the country😭. The armed group ADF has been blamed for the killings and abductions🙀.
Not far away, Khartoum trending as an airstrike killed 17 people and destroyed 25 homes. The fighting has been raging for three months now. The two warring sides have announced a new 72 hour ceasefire, let's hope it holds as aid needs to be distributed.
In Europe, Russia trending as African leaders met with Putin in St Petersburg after their meeting with Zelensky in Kyiv yesterday. South African president, Ramaphosa has urged the two sides to find a diplomatic solution to the ongoing war💯.
Let's go down to Iran, Tehran trending as Saudi Arabian foreign minister visited and had talks with his Iranian counterpart. Saudi Arabia will be reopening it's embassy which closed seven years ago. Nice to see this friendly relationship😹.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden began his re election campaign with a rally in Philadelphia. If Trump isn't convicted, 2024 will be a rematch of 2020😹.
Finally, in crazy weather, at least 34 people have died in the past two days as northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh experiences severe high temperatures🙀. Doctors have advised those over 60 with pre existing conditions to keep indoors during daytime. My sincere condolences 😭 to all bereaved families and all deaths mentioned in this post💯.
