Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I know you have other things to do, so am definitely grateful you stopped by. Let's proceed to take a look at how my day has been plus some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for some errands; nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a nice day. A state of emergency declared in the county with the starvation cult case. As of today 109 bodies have been exhumed 🙀. Today the collection of DNA samples from people whose relatives are missing were being collected to compare with the bodies.
On the continent Sudan still trending on the 13 th day of fighting. The army carried out air raids on some RSF held areas. The good thing is that the fragile ceasefire held and some people have fled to neighbouring countries. However, the situation remains dire for those left behind 🙀. A new 72 hour ceasefire has been agreed, lets hope it holds for more people to flee and supplies to go around.
Let's go to the gulf where the Iranian navy has seized a ship it says collided with it's oil tanker. The US on the other hand disputes the turn of events and have asked Iran to let the ship go.
Across the pond in the US, South Korean President has addressed Congress; vowing to respond firmly to North Korea but the door still open for dialogue with the North Korean regime.
Finally, Peru's government declared a state of emergency at border zones to curb high levels of illegal migration 🙀. Most of the migrants are from Venezuela and Haiti, stuck at the border after failing to gain entry into Chile. Am so grateful to be in a peaceful country, people are going through so much😭.
