Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. We are almost done with April, its been another ordinary day stepping it out. As bedtime approaches let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So just like yesterday, I started the day with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice session and then I was back indoors for some resting and the usual house chores. It's been quite rainy the entire day even as I walked to the shopping centre in the afternoon as opposed to the sunny days we have been having lately.
I later had my usual nap and then woke up to some cooking and news. Next it was time for the sunset walk, that went well and I made it back home safe and sound. The rain has since calmed down. To finish off let's quickly look at the trending stories of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going, also trending locally. The number of bodies exhumed from shallow graves has reached 90😭.All victims of a cult, a deranged pastor brainwashed them to dangerous fasting and starvation 🙀.
Another shocker as 57 bodies have been discovered off the coast of Libya. All thought to be migrants trying to cross the Mediterranean sea headed to Europe when two boats collided and capsized 😭. Aid workers say they expect the bodies of more migrants to be washed ashore in the coming days🙀.
Meanwhile, fighting entered 11th day in Sudan. There was a 72 hour ceasefire to allow civilians leave. However it didn't hold and some residents are stuck . People slowly running out of money as banks are closed. Shops running out of supplies as the price of food spikes🙀. It's turned into a dire situation.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden has formally announced his 2024 re election campaign. Even at 80, strategists say he is still a strong candidate against the current republican field.
Also trending, Harry Belafonte, US actor and civil rights activist has died aged 96. My sincere condolences 😭 but that's a life worth celebrating, he achieved so much💯.
Finally, let's finish in Japan where Ispace company says it has lost contact with it's spacecraft moments before touch down on the moon. They suspect it crashed and the mission apparently failed😭.
