Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. We are in the third week of the year , too early to forget your resolutions 😹. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃.A short session . Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally Ukraine trending as fierce fighting raged on for the control of the Donbas region🙀. Russia really wants to take control of the town of Bakmut but Ukraine isn't backing down.
Elsewhere, Belarus opposition leader is on trial for treason and other trumped up charges 🙀. All charges in absentia. So ironic given that she would have won those elections that the current president rigged😹.
Across the pond in the US, Dutch PM visited president Biden at the white house for discussion on a range of issues. Netherlands will deliver to Ukraine the Patriot defense system.
Let's get back to Europe, Germany trending as a new defence minister was named. Meanwhile there's growing pressure for Germany to supply Ukraine with tanks as the war rages. Then Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg arrested in Germany for being a nuisance 😹.
Afghanistan trending as the Taliban have agreed for women to work in healthcare. This after realizing how their people would suffer without aid agencies. The move has prompted some international aid agencies to partially start work after leaving.
Finally, China's population fell for the first time in 60 years🙀, the birth rate in 2022 is the lowest since 1961. China has a population of 1.41 billion people. India currently has 1.38 billion people and is set to overtake China next year to become the most populous country😹.
