Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain and it's also the first week of the year. Hopefully you are doing well with your new year's resolutions😹. Anyway, it's been a great day and as it fades away, I am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share some of the trending stories that made headlines. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning and I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the shopping centre for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of you tube and some soccer matches. The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹, the president and his cabinet ended their weekend retreat.
Globally, Ukraine trending as the 36 hour ceasefire faltered 🙀. Putin had ordered that truce because of the orthodox Xmas. However Ukraine and Russian forces exchanged fire.
Elsewhere in Paris France, thousands marched to protest unresolved killings of Kurds 😭.
Across the pond in the US, after 15 rounds of voting, heated exchanges; Kevin McCarthy finally became house speaker🎉👋. However the concessions have diminished some of his power 🙀.
Also trending, a shocking incident in Virginia when a six year old shot his teacher in classroom, she probably reprimanded him🙀. He was arrested while she is hospitalized, her condition improving . I don't even know what to say.
Finally, a once in 50,000 year comet will be visible from earth. The comet is made of ice and dust and emits a greenish aura, and is estimated to have a diameter of about a kilometer. The ☄️ comet is expected to pass nearest earth on February 1 and will be easy to spot with binoculars or even the naked eye. Set a date😹.
