Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's been another ordinary but wonderful day and before bedtime let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including some of the trending stories I came across. We are still pushing November away; as always thank you for stopping by and let's begin 💨.
So just like yesterday, I had a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood🌲. The morning breeze was amazing as I made my way, then I was back indoors. I did some household chores then rested for a while before catching up with the trending news that I will mention in the next paragraph. The next short walk was in the afternoon to the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. Then next was the usual refreshing nap. I did get a chance to watch some of world cup matches, most memorable was the Saudi win over Argentina; more on that later. Then the last walk came in the evening around the neighborhood, slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. I have called it a day.
So what's been trending? Locally, political shenanigans 😹, Kenyan president left for a 3 day tour of South Korea.
Globally, Indonesia still trending with yesterday's earthquake in Java, the death toll rose to 268😭, authorities saying many were children. The rescue operation still on going as more people still missing 🙀.
Not far in Iran IAEA has confirmed that Iran is enriching uranium at 60%😹. Meanwhile UN human rights have warned the Iranian administration against imprisonment and killing of protesters.
Elsewhere in Kyiv, Ukraine, several orthodox monasteries have been raided over links to Russia 🙀. Meanwhile residents have been told to brace for a tough winter, the head of energy said that the damage to facilities by Russian strikes was colossal 🙀.
Start praying for China, another wave of COVID-19 has forced the government to close down malls, parks, restaurants in Beijing 🙀. Millions of people told to stay home as they tackle infections.
Finally let's get into some football shenanigans 😹, Manchester united have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will leave the team immediately this after an explosive interview he gave criticizing the club manager🙀.
Over in Doha, ecstatic Saudi fans rejoiced after historic win over Argentina 👋💯. Never in a million years did they think they would win, to the extent that a public holiday has been declared tomorrow in Saudi Arabia 😹.
It's currently going down between France and Australia, France in the lead.
