Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's been another superb and active day. As bedtime beckons, am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share some of the trending stories I came across. Please keep reading 👓 and let's get things going 💨
So just like yesterday, I kicked off the day with the fast paced morning session. I definitely enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I brisk walked around the neighborhood 🌲.
Next I was back indoors, where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Today marked the first ever kiswahili language day, a UN organised celebration of an African language which has become one of the worlds 10 most spoken. Kiswahili which is also known as Swahili, encompasses more than a dozen main dialects with around 200 million speakers across the world 😊.
Globally, Ukraine still trending, with shelling in the Donetsk region, in the city Sloviansk. There was shelling in the Eastern city of Kromatorsk too. Putin warned that Russia is just getting started in Ukraine 😱. Elsewhere in Russia, US basketball 🏀 star pleaded guilty to drug charges after cannabis oil was found in her luggage months ago, she has been in detention for long😢. Given all that's going on, am not sure if she gets a fair trial.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin subtly up to 21k. The bears 🐻 still in control though.
I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day.
Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the city centre for a few errands. Walked around for a while before heading back home 🏡. Next came the usual nap 💤 dreaming off until sometime early evening. Then I continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Trending in the UK, British PM Boris has finally given in to pressure and resigned. It was political drama as more than 60 mps resigned😹. He will however, remain as care taker PM before the party appoints some one to take over. Elsewhere in Sri Lanka, more protests against the on going economic problems. There's lack of petrol and shortages of essential products. The govt raised the interest rate to 15% as inflation hit a 20 years high 😱.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. It was amazing,slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃.
