Hello everyone 👋, Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for. Thank you for stopping by and hopefully your weekend is coming along nicely. For me it's been great and just before bedtime,am raring to go with my stepping activities for the day and also what's trending in the media streets. Let's quickly dive in 💨 .
So just like yesterday I kicked off with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice sunny 🌞 morning with lots of amazing fresh air 🍃.
Then I was back indoors where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹, being a weekend, lots of election campaigning going on. Today was also father's day, shout out to all you dads out there👏. Not the deadbeats,you know who you are😹.
Globally, Ukraine still trending, new shelling in Kharkiv after a few weeks of calm, Russia trying to make the city a front line of their attack😱. In Kyiv, EU human rights authority officials visited some areas to see first hand the atrocities committed by Russia. Elsewhere in France, the second round of legislative elections is over, Macron failed to get an outright majority 😱. This will slow down or make it tough to accomplish all he set out to do.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin is back to the 20k mark, let's wait till tomorrow when the markets open for the new week. Do keep hodling 💯 in this bear 🐻 market.
I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day including laundry.
Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the mall for some groceries and then headed back home 🏡 for the usual nap 💤.
I later woke up some time early evening feeling well rested 💯. Then I continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
In Colombia,a second round of voting is underway, may the best candidate win. Elsewhere protests in Tunisia against the president who people have accused of a power grab, doing things his way not following the law😱. Across the pond in the US, its Juneteenth Independence Day or Freedom Day. CommemoratingJune 19, 1865, the date on which enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally received the news they were free👏. Unfortunately,modern day slavery still exists, where people are paid peanuts and made to work long hours, with delays in payment too, I have been a victim.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. As always slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃. I finally made it back home 🏡 safe and sound as darkness fell.
