Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I have had a great day and hopefully you have too; am truly grateful for this day. Before bedtime 😴 we have to take a quick look at how my day went as well as some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for stopping by and let's get cracking 💨.
So I kicked off the day with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning as I made my way. That fresh morning breeze 🍃 was incredible 💯.
Then I was back indoors where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going as the election campaigning still in high gear. It was also World environment day with many groups planting trees and doing clean ups around the city 👏..
Globally, Ukraine still trending, shelling in the east. Russia struck Kyiv for the first time in a month with long missiles targeting the weapons and equipment Ukraine has been receiving from other countries 😬. Looks like it's gonna be a long war😢. Elsewhere, India's ruling BJP party expelled two officials over anti Islamic remarks 😱. Congratulations 🎊 to Rafael Nadal, trending after he won his 14th French open and 22nd Grand slam🎉.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin is up from yesterday's 29k, currently at 30k. Let's keep watching for the bottom, or is this gonna be another trap 😹.
I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day including laundry.
Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping center for some cooking groceries.
Next I was back indoors where I had my usual nap 💤. It was amazing and I woke up some time early evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Trending in Nigeria, a horrific scene as gunmen opened fire in a church killing dozens of worshippers 😢. This in the relatively calm Ondo state, no one expected it😱. Elsewhere in Nepal, the army led the clean up in the peaks of mount Everest, tons of garbage collected as they marked environment day 👏. In crazy weather, a town in the Philippines is covered with dark ash after a volcano 🌋 erupted spewing the ash everywhere 😵.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. As always slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃. I finally made it back home 🏡 safe and sound as darkness fell.
