Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. So glad that you stopped by yet again 👏. Am really grateful for this day and before it ends we will quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending news. You know how we do it daily, so let's get cracking 💨.
I kicked off early with fast paced morning session. A few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. A beautiful sunny 🌞 morning as I made my way.
Next I was back indoors, where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Today was Labour day or international workers day. Mayday rallies took place around the world in support of workers rights. In Nairobi, a peaceful gathering where the president announced a raise in salaries for lowly paid workers👏.
Globally, rallies were held in many cities around the world. It got ugly in Paris and Istanbul, with tear gas and arrests 😱. Elsewhere in Ukraine, US house speaker Nancy Pelosi stopped by Kyiv to show support and solidarity to president Zelensky💪. Meanwhile Russia continued shelling in the eastern regions, and good news as civilians have started being evacuated from the steel plant in Mariupol 👏.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin still at 38k, some analysts predicting another fall to around 33k before we see a turn around, do keep hodling 💯 and let's see how this new month turns out.
I did take care of some house hold chores and then stopped by the shopping center for some cooking groceries.
Then I was back indoors, where I had the usual afternoon nap 💤. It was amazing and refreshing and I woke up some time early evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
I did see pictures of a severe dust storm in Iraq, skies turned orange brown with poor visibility 😱. Also trending, UN chief Guterrez is in Senegal on a visit of west Africa. He urged for debt relief to ease the impact of Ukraine war. Remember, some countries in that region rely heavily on wheat 🌾 and grain imports from Ukraine.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. A nice long extended walk enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃.
