Hello everyone 👋,
Give it up for Bob🐈 and yours truly on this amazing Caturday😻. You know how we do every Saturday. I am so grateful for this day and the stepping has continued unabated, app or no app. Hopefully your weekend is coming along nicely. Time to slow down and let you in on how my day has been and also share some of the trending stories I came across. Come on, let's get going 💨.
As usual I had two main walking sessions, starting off bright and early with the fast paced morning session. Lots of brisk walking to keep warm in the chilly morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the daily cleaning and tidying up chores. The afternoon got me walking to the shopping centre for some cooking groceries, potatoes, veggies and some fruit is what I got. Next I snack in my usual refreshing nap. Then later in the evening I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk. As always in between I was watching and catching up with the news, that's next, lets quickly look at what was trending.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹. People still talking about the recently concluded election. All eyes on the supreme court. Down in South Africa, It was coronation day as a new Zulu king was crowned. His father died in May last year after close to fifty years on the throne. Family disputes have held this back but now behold a new king👏💯.
Globally, Ukraine trending as a drone was shot down in Russian controlled Crimea region😱. Ukraine have always said they want to take back that area that Russia illegally annexed a few years ago. Elsewhere, the UN Chief has left Ukraine and is now in Turkey still overseeing the shipment of grains. Then political shenanigans in Montenegro😹 as the government lost a no confidence vote over agreement with Serbian Orthodox church. The PM has stepped down and the president has thirty days to appoint another.
Across the pond in Mexico, the former AG has been arrested for obstructing justice and covering up for suspects in a case were 43 students went missing and were later found dead😱, most have never been found😵. Over in Brazil, former president Lula Da Silva had his first campaign as he looks forward to getting back in office after October election. Best of luck sir.
