Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. It's a brand new month, I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, reading a few stuff before bedtime. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, that election case is still underway at the supreme court. Tomorrow is the last day of hearing before we get a final ruling on Monday. Fingers crossed.
Globally, trending in Ukraine, UN's IAEA staff arrived at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant that is in the hands of Russia but run by Ukranian engineers. They will be checking the extent of damage and the risk of a disaster furthermore, how to secure the plant against nuclear leakages. Elsewhere, Poland's ruling party says Poland will be demanding 1.3 trillion dollars in reparations from Germany😵. That's for the nazi occupation between 1939 and 1945 WW 2, when close to 6 million people were killed😢.
Across the pond in the US, Alaska has voted in a native American woman who was running against republican Sarah Pallin 👏, I didn't get her name 😹 but congratulations. Elsewhere, in Russia, the chairman of Russia's second largest oil company died after falling out of the window of a hospital, how bizarre😱.
In crazy weather, southern Pakistan is bracing for more rainfall and flooding even as the area is still underwater from the incessant monsoon rains. Then in South Africa there was snow falling in parts of the eastern cape Province😵.
So that's it, do check me out yet again tomorrow on an amazing high five Friday 🙌. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max 💯. Nothing much to add but bid you adieu 💖💞💖 Take care, Hakuna Matata.
