No estoy solo

In English

Greetings friends of Hive. I wrote these stories about trees when I observed these marvelous beings that I like to admire and that awaken my imagination.

There is still life there

Its dry branches rise above its trunk blackened by fire. But there is still beauty in that image with the gray sky in the background, in the birds that perch on its branches. One day he was visited by a solitary sparrow hawk. On a branch he rested, looking around. A daring bird flew over his head, but he did not flinch and stayed there, waiting for the moment to continue his flight. The tree still stands upright and there is still life there, in that creeper that embraces it and rises up leaning on it. But someday its roots will no longer be able to support its weight and it will fall like the warrior it has been.

The old tree

Its trunk resembles the face of an old man. It is a rigid mask. What is behind that serious expression? Is he a giant petrified by wizards from a world of legends? With his big nose he perceives the world around him, the water running beside him, the smell of the rain before it falls, the wet earth that caresses his old feet, turned into roots. The sun's rays evaporating in her hair, transformed into foliage. And every year, for a short time, she can inhale the scent of her flowers that, although they do not produce fruits and seeds
ucing fruits and seeds, which allow it to perpetuate itself, if they receive the visit of the bees. On second thought, life is still sweet.

I am not alone

Before they came along I lived alone. But one day they began to grow on and inside me and I could do nothing to stop it. I saw my body defroming and I didn't like it. They are intruders, but I have been thinking that since I am the host I should try to live with them and hope that my life is not affected. It is possible that they are only around for a short time and just as they came...they will leave someday. Even if they really aren't that uncomfortable I prefer my solitude.
