Hello friends!

Isis is the name of a beautiful and tender dog that my daughter adopted a year ago. She was three years old when she arrived at our home with the young lady who rescued her from conditions that we didn't know about but that we assume were not the best, because of the fear and traumas she had.

Since that day, she has adapted very well to the family. She is very affectionate with everyone, and through the love and care we have given her, she has been able to overcome her fears.

For example, when we took her out on the street with her leash, she was frightened when she heard loud noises like trucks and motorcycles. This made her panic, and on two occasions she let go of the leash with the danger of being run over by a vehicle. So we had to slowly get her used to walking on the streets on the leash, and we let her out in the protected area of the Residences where we live and where she could run safely.

My daughter and I wanted to take her to a large park with green areas where we used to take Sofie, our poodle dog who died a few years ago, so that she could have the opportunity to run, but it turned out that among the rules that were written on a notice at the entrance, there was one that surprised us.

No dogs allowed

It seemed to us that this rule had no reason to exist. We were not allowed to take her. A year has passed since then, but in my recent walks through the park, I have seen people walking their dogs, so my daughter and I decided to take Isis.

We walked from the house to the park, and once there, she had a great time, running around, chasing the lizards that abound there and a couple of the scarecrows that live in one section of the park. But for her, this apparent hunt is just a game; she runs for a while and then stops.

Then she gets tired and lays down on the ground full of dry leaves and starts rolling on them. She is a short-haired dog, so one shake was enough to get them off her.

We continued our tour through the park, and as she is very affectionate, she was jumping and playing with some children.

Then she ran after my daughter for a while more, and we left the park, she with her leash as a precaution to walk home.

It was a great walk for her and for us. We had fun, exercised, and were surrounded by nature and the birdsong that abounds there. And we know we can come back another day.
