Hola, apreciados Hivers:
Entonces,
el silencio nos toma la garganta,
se escurre por los brazos,
cae al terreno; es una caricia,
un rayo que ordena los sentidos,
y mientras temblamos
ante la mano grande,
sentimos su aliento
tocar levemente
la víscera del pecho.

Hello, dear Hivers,
It is a pleasure to have you here, taking the time to read. This morning, I awoke to watch God sketch out a splendid day for me, despite the earthquakes, the hurricanes, the avalanches.
Today, our innermost selves may ache a little more, or perhaps we are so absorbed in our own human sufferings that we fail to notice the difference. But that does not matter. Today, I feel like firing a burst of flowers into the day, flowers transformed into scattered, deafening birds, tracing trails across the sky above our heads; an ineffable mark of the fact that we are alive, and that there is so much to be grateful for.
GOD WALKS WITH US
Upon the cliffs
that silence the night,
God's arm stretches wide.
It is sky, it is faith, it is coffin.
Shadows march, driven into corners
among the marabú thickets,
in yesterday's dying embers,
through all the mountains,
and here, among us,
humans scented with the fragrance of the universe
and hands like those of primates.
We succumb in the mud
that gathers above our heads,
in the tear inhabited
by shipwreck, which does not fall, but
is merely wiped away within the eye's flesh
before descending to the phalanges,
our own.
Then,
silence takes hold of our throats,
slips down our arms,
falls to the earth; it is a caress,
a ray of light that sets the senses in order,
and as we tremble
before the great hand,
we feel His breath
gently brush
the innermost flesh of our chests.
