Are you an ice cream lover like me? I so love any flavors of ice cream but when I visited Riley’s nearby at Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, I had chosen the ice cream with my favorite color and it was a delightful experience.

I remember back then when I had a meet-up with Jude Villarta, one of the awesome members of HivePh, she said that she wanted to go to Manolo to taste Riley’s ice cream.
Can you imagine traveling for how many hours just to satisfy your cravings? She traveled more than two hours just to taste this ice cream but unfortunately, when we came there at Riley’s Manolo, no ice creams were available because they were sold out. Perhaps this is proof that people are interested to come and in this place not just for its foodies but for the delicious ice creams.
However, there is another branch of Riley’s and it is nestled at Alae. So here I was, entering Riley’s place to taste their homemade ice cream on one fine evening after having a good time with some street foods.
Riley's is not only a delightful dining place but as well as a convenience store that has earned a well-deserved reputation for serving the tastiest homemade ice cream in town.
Upon entering, near the counter, an array of delicious flavors was available to choose from. But a lot of customers were ordering so I had to wait for my turn.
While I was waiting, I explored another corner and I found out that beyond the enticing ice cream selection, Riley's also offered an assortment of pieces of bread and donuts. They were selling Korean breads packed in plastic ware good for 6 pieces.
When I arrived there, the aroma of freshly baked goods was so enticing that even added a temptation to order another treat. But I was more focused on waiting for my turn for the staff to serve ice cream to me.
So I went back to the ice cream corner and it will be my turn after. The person next to me ordered the purple ice cream with an ube flavor.
Ube is my favorite too but I felt like I wanted to order another flavor but not Durian. I do not like the smell and taste of this fruit.
Although upon arriving at Riley's, the enticing selection of ice cream flavor were limited to three options, namely Ube, Strawberry, and Durian. But my eyes were instantly drawn to the vibrant pink hue of the strawberry ice cream.
I must say that the pink ice cream was so enough to make my taste buds drool with anticipation. The taste of the pink ice cream, with its sweet and fruity goodness, and being my favorite color prompted me to select the strawberry flavor.
After a while, the staff served some cups for me and I even made a joke to make it so full. How I love to taste ice cream in cones and I am like my younger self who always craves ice cream. While I was there, I felt like a little kid who was so excited to taste my favorite.
Aside from being so affordable, this ice cream is indeed so yummy. When I took my first bite, the creamy texture of Riley's ice cream satisfies my cravings for it has been a while since I have not been here. And I must say that it is instantly confirming its reputation as the town's finest.
I so love the strawberry flavor for striking a perfect balance between natural sweetness and subtle tartness. And I am feeling like I am taking a bite out of a field of freshly picked strawberries on a wonderful day. It had also a good aroma and I was craving more.
I truly enjoyed indulging myself with Riley's pink strawberry ice cream for it was bliss in an ice cream cone that left me craving more. You know that feeling of tasting an ice cream with a crunchy cone with the attention to detail and dedication to homemade excellence was evident in every bite.
I had some quick snaps of my pink ice cream while I was eating it. But I consumed it so easily and I have ordered more. If you happen to pass by Manolo Forich, Bukidnon, you could always done here to order foodies with main courses other than ice creams.
And whether you are a resident or passing through this wonderful place, a visit to Riley's is a must if you are seeking the ultimate homemade ice cream experience. So, the next time you find yourself in Manolo Fortich, never forget, and make sure to visit Riley's and treat yourself to a memorable ice cream adventure.
What a delightful experience and honestly, I wish to come back for more.
