Hey Fellow Foodies!
Today, I went to Manifesto Market for brunch with my wife. I've been in Prague for around 4 years now and it was actually my first time going to this food market even though my wife has been several times with her friends. If this post tempts you enough to plan a visit (as it should!) then you can find the market at the address below as well as a sneak peek into the ambience.

The food market is made up of 17 different vendors and has many places to sit. You can sit at the bottom where all the vendors are and there is even a small pool of water which you can sit next to. Alternatively, you can sit up top and get a nice view below you but I would only recommend sitting up top during the evening as I've heard it is the best with the fairy lights.
Homemade Ice Tea

To start off our brunch, we both got the homemade ice tea from the SOOT bar which was made with Rooibos. We arrived at 11:00 so we didn't feel like drinking so early and wanted to rather spend more money on the food than the drinks.
Chicken Waffles
💲 375 Kč ($17.05 / €15.75 / £13.70)
By far the best food I had at the Manifesto Market was the chicken waffles from Dirty Dog American BBQ... It is considerably more expensive than the other vendors, however, it was absolutely fantastic and quite a hefty portion...
Such a large portion in fact that we had to split it...
I would highly recommend anyone who takes a visit to Manifesto to get the chicken waffles. It is a really good balance between the saltiness of the chicken and the subtle sweetness from the waffle. The sauce itself is a mixture of sweet chilli and some herbal mayo.
Passionfruit Caipirinha

For our second round, we decided to try out the Brazilian food vendor Favela. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the Caipirinha as it looked pretty bland but was actually delicious! I would definitely get it again when I go back (and yes, I am going back).
Beef Croquets
💲 225 Kč ($10.20 / €9.45 / £8.20)
The only disappointing meal we had was the Beef Croquets from Favela. It was just pretty bland and there was nothing exciting about it, especially since it was a little more expensive than the other dishes available.
Matcha Latté
💲 115 Kč ($5.20 / €4.80 / £4.20)
For our final round, we decided to get some dessert and decided on a combination of the Matcha Latté from Korean Bakery60 and the Syrnyky from Barva Ukrainian Cuisine. The Matcha Latté was really refreshing and we actually decided to make some homemade Matcha Latté in the evening since we liked it so much.
Syrnyky

Our final dish was the cherry on top for our brunch. Syrnyky are essentially fried quark (curd cheese) pancakes and it was served with condensed milk on the side which was just glorious and definitely made up for our disappoint from the Beef Croquets.
While the brunch itself was pretty expensive, my wife and I rarely go out together for brunch so we thought we would splurge a little and try as many things as we could. Stay tuned for my next trip to Manifesto Market as I definitely want to go back to see what the vibe is like in the evening!
