I was back at the monastery in front of Olivia. I decided to head out since morning had already arrived. Having upgraded my inventory with a cool new crossbow and heavy weaponry, I bypassed several infected to photograph a gorgeous waterfall before using my rifle to drop an aggressive target with two precise headshots.
I woke up to find myself back at the peaceful monastery, standing right in front of Olivia. While I certainly appreciated having a safe zone to pass the dangerous nighttime, I was not about to lurk around while the volatiles were roaming in the dark outside.
I planned to make my way back to search the transport site, but first, I needed to navigate out of the immediate area. The view outside was absolutely breathtaking. I stopped in my tracks to admire a magnificent waterfall.
The scenery on the other side of the path was just as impressive, featuring towering, snow-capped mountains in the far distance.
I tried the backroad through the Monastery that I used at the beginning to get here. There were some infected tried to stop me but they couldn't.
I realized I had passed this very spot at the beginning of my journey, but because I did not have the photo mode feature activated back then, I was unable to capture any decent pictures of it.
I spent a few moments adjusting the camera angles to finally get some quality shots, even though the rushing water still looked a bit blurry in the frame.
I came back to the Monastery and used the same way to climb up that I used for the first time and all these things were being nostalgic for me. I noticed it was 9:12 am already.
Rather than wasting time and resources, I actively ignored most of them, running past their outstretched arms as I navigated the rocky paths. By the time I cleared the high ridges and set my sights on the transport site.
While sprinting down the mountain trail, a lone female infected suddenly lunged out of the brush directly toward me. Deciding it was the perfect opportunity to test my rifle for the first time, I leveled the sights at her.
I fired an initial round, which left a bloody mark but failed to stop her forward charge. Realizing a single shot was not going to cut it, I aimed carefully for her head again. It took exactly two precise headshots to finally bring her down for good.
Hearing the gunfire, several more infected in the distance began running toward my position, but I chose to save my ammunition and quickly ran past them toward safety.
I'll show what happens next later.
I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
This is Pikachuuuuu signing off. Over and out.
