Hello Hive!
My name is PhantomScript, an independent developer who enjoys building web applications and exploring game development. While I've built several local projects in the past, Boom Miner is my first complete online game and the biggest project I've taken on so far.
I'm a solo developer, and for the past two months I've been spending most of my free time designing, programming, testing, and polishing this game. It has been a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience, and I'm excited to finally introduce both myself and my project to the Hive community.
This is my first post, and I hope it's the beginning of a long journey of sharing development updates, listening to community feedback, and continuously improving the game.
I've always enjoyed games with simple but addictive gameplay.
Growing up, I loved playing Bomberman, and years later I spent countless hours playing Bomb Crypto. Bomb Crypto introduced a gameplay loop that I genuinely enjoyed where heroes automatically mine while players focus on building their team and growing their collection.
That experience inspired me to create my own game.
Rather than trying to reinvent everything, I wanted to build upon mechanics that I personally enjoyed while adding my own ideas and learning how online game development works from the ground up.
Boom Miner is heavily inspired by Bomb Crypto's gameplay loop and Bomberman's classic mechanics, but everything has been built from scratch by me—from the game systems and backend architecture to the hero AI and blockchain integration.
More than anything, this project has been my way of improving my skills as a developer while creating something that I hope others will also enjoy.
I decided to launch Boom Miner on Hive because I genuinely like what this ecosystem offers.
Hive isn't just a blockchain—it has an active community of builders, creators, and gamers, along with a blogging platform where projects can grow alongside their communities.
Instead of simply launching a game and disappearing, I want to share the journey here.
I'll be posting:
I hope this becomes a place where players can follow Boom Miner's progress long after launch.
Boom Miner is a pixel-art idle mining game inspired by both Bomberman and Bomb Crypto.
Players collect heroes that automatically explore maps, plant bombs, destroy obstacles, and uncover treasure chests filled with $BMCOIN.
Every hero has randomly generated attributes that affect how efficiently they mine.
Deploy your heroes, let them clear maps, collect rewards, and continue expanding your mining operation.
Heroes automatically search the map, plant bombs, destroy obstacles, uncover treasure chests, and collect rewards without requiring constant player interaction. As you build your roster, you can deploy multiple heroes at once to expand your mining operation and progress through increasingly challenging stages.
The gameplay is designed to be easy to understand while offering long-term progression through hero collection and the in-game economy.
After around two months of development, Boom Miner is finally ready for launch.
There are still a few final preparations to complete, but if everything goes according to plan, the game will officially launch later this week.
It's exciting—and honestly a little surreal—to finally be this close to releasing something I've been working on every day.
Before the official launch, Boom Miner will hold its first and only public $BMCOIN presale.
The goals of this presale are simple:
A total of:
2,500,000,000 $BMCOIN
will be available during the presale.
1 $BMCOIN = 0.00005 SWAP.HIVE
The presale will run for one month.
Once the one-month presale ends, any unsold $BMCOIN will be transferred to the game's treasury. Future heroes will primarily be minted using tokens earned through gameplay rather than additional public token sales.
Heroes are the heart of Boom Miner.
Without heroes, there is no mining.
Each hero costs:
to mint.
Based on the presale allocation, players can collectively mint up to 5,000 heroes during the initial distribution.
These heroes will become the first generation of miners exploring the world of Boom Miner.
One of my long-term goals is to create an economy that becomes increasingly driven by its players.
After the presale concludes, the focus shifts away from selling tokens.
Instead, players will be able to:
My hope is that, over time, the game's economy will be shaped more by player participation than by developer-controlled token sales.
Since this is my first blockchain game, I know there will be challenges and adjustments along the way. I'll continue learning, listening to feedback, and making improvements as the game grows.
Everything in Boom Miner has been built by me as a solo developer.
The game is powered by Next.js and Phaser, allowing it to run directly in the browser without requiring players to download a separate client.
Being a solo developer means wearing many hats.
Some days I'm programming backend systems.
Other days I'm designing interfaces, creating pixel art, balancing gameplay, or fixing bugs that somehow only appear at two in the morning.
It's been an incredible learning experience, and seeing the game finally reach launch makes all of those late nights worthwhile.
Launching the game is only the first step.
After release, I'll continue sharing updates here on Hive, including:
I want Boom Miner to continue evolving, and I hope the Hive community will be part of that journey.
If you've made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read my first post.
I truly appreciate your interest, and I'm excited to finally introduce Boom Miner to the Hive community.
I hope you'll join me when the game launches later this week, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts, suggestions, and feedback as we build this community together.
This is just the beginning.
See you all in Boom Miner.
