Summer officially finished a few days ago, but here in Spain, we will have a few more weeks of it... I will remember this summer as very, very hot as I remember that I was turning on the A/C every single day... I know that some people do not turn off their A/C ever, but I don't like it as many times I got migraines from it... But, it was really hot this summer and it was impossible to work anything with over 30 Degrees Celsius, sweating in the computer chair...

The other thing that I will remember is exploring new places on our regular, yearly 5-6K kilometers road trip... This year, I did a bit more photos from different cities and towns, and now that summer is over, it's a perfect time to pull out them and share them with you guys... As I like posts in "series", I have named this one simply Summer Vibes and as I like the #WednesdayWalk community, I will probably publish most of them here! I have already shared one post from this summer's vacation with the walks on the road trip, gasoline stations, and rest places on the road, so this is kind-of post No2... 馃檪

Okay, back to this beautiful old train... This was photographed in Sombor, a small city in Serbia where I went to secondary school... As I lived in another place, I was traveling every day by bus to school... Later on, when I went to University, Sombor was again the place where I was waiting for the connection to the place where I studied... So, I have many nice memories of this city and this train station where I took these photos...

I'm not sure from which year is this train, but I know that the railways that were going to my town were built before the I World War, so around the year 1900... This train is not functional anymore, but I'm sure that it was running on those railways... Unfortunately, today, no train leads to my town from Sombor, but you can catch trains in other directions...

I like old things as they always look so robust, which is the case if this train was built from cheap materials it wouldn't stand there anymore... It's a pity that the train isn't somewhere inside like this, it is exposed to rain, sun and snow...

If you translate this to English it means steel firebox as this train had a steam engine that was powering the machine...

This is the train station building which probably dates from a similar period as that steam engine train... 馃檪 To be honest, the station was looking the same 25 years ago when I was visiting it more often... The good thing is that they are renovating it part by part as you can see from the photo... The right side of the building is renovated and painted in "fresh" yellow color and the left side is waiting to be renovated... I like graffiti, but what you can see on the building is vandalism as that has no art value at all... 馃槖

These are small buildings around the station that have been closed for a long time... I can't remember that they were working when I was going to school?! Maybe one was where you could buy some bakery products... Oh yes, one was working where you could buy newspapers, some drinks, beer, etc. The one in the photo above was a Hairdressing saloon, but I haven't seen that open ever... :(

In its best days, this was a small bar-pastry shop, where you could sit, eat something, drink a coffee...

The last look at the train station, as we have derived to another city that day... And what was curious about that trip and staying in the next city, we parked the car in front of the train station again! Don't have a photo of that, but you will have to believe me... :)

See you in the next #WednesdayWalk!

Thank you for your time!
