If the mind is agitated, even the shadow of the bow is also suspected of a snake or a scorpion. A fallen stone can be seen as a tiger lying face down. It's complex phenomena coming from precarious mind. If the mind is at peace, you can turn a ferocious person into a docile animal. Even the cries of frogs can be heard as sweet rhythm. Everything that the mind contacts looks to be true beauty. (Book2 48)

一水四見: The same water may be viewed in four ways; devas see it as bejewelled land, men as water, hungry ghosts as pus and blood, fish as a place to live in.
