"Time is money," they say. I have personally preferred to charge by job or product. I have never liked charging per hour because that puts constraints on my time.
I also would probably always then undercharge and equate 12 hours to 6 just because I can't keep track of what I did. As things go I already prefer getting rid of someone over actually having them pay me.
In a sense push comes to shove, you can get free stuff. It is the price I pay for peace after all.
None of the above may sound very thoughtful, but I bet you a dollar that money takes a big chunk of many people's thoughts.
That would be an unfair bet and obviously, I would not collect. However that is me and likely the reason I seem to be incapable of coming up with actual profitable ideas.
The worst is that if you believe social media and car sales people types, it is apparently very easy to make money.
You just need to sell stuff.
Right?

Ok, well maybe you can just do stuff for other people or a service.
Right?
Right!
How?
Everyone conveniently leaves out the "WhAt" and "hOw" of these things, because you don't get people coming back to your channel if you ever give them a real solution.
Now I know that is a very whiney way of stating it. So what. It is obvious that with any successful endeavour, there will be work involved. Like a band that has become famous, few know the years of grind that went into it.
It just seems to me that maybe somethings should have a tangible thread in this day and age. Yet it seems also that the more "information" there is the less tangible things become.
Maybe that is just the whole supply and demand thing, and by saturating the next best way or super duper secret way to make money those inherently become no different than being lucky on an airdrop... or the lotto.
This post is not for solutions, most of my posts are not about solutions. I think people sometimes think just because I am telling them something I require feedback. At the very least IRL I know for a fact I can swap anyone standing in front of me out with my cat and I will be having the same conversation.
It is not much different online, except I don't need the cat.
Words echo, and typing them just gives structure. It is not always the ideal structure but it is better than soup.
I have been looking into some more service-based options though, and I think I am starting to appreciate the bolster you get from investing money to make money.
With that said I do cling to a "Can I do this for free" mentality which mainly means I need to put more time in to achieve the same thing I could have just paid for and then sold for more...
Stupid I know, but if something is that simple as buying it and services the persons needs I would be inclined to just show them that and say "Bye bye. Don't darken my door again."
