She stared out the window into the past, images flickering as fast as light. The sun's rays gently warmed her face. Dust particles flicker in the stream of light.
She thought all the thoughts at once. Missed the past and hoped for the future all at once. It was as though she could see the long braids of time stretching and winding their way into infinity.
It was not infinity though, she could see the then and the was of then. Future and past are all known but never the now.
As she twirled her braid between her fingers, her eyes flashed back to focus, blinking quickly as the sunlight seems to be brighter right that moment. "Never the now." She said aloud in an exasperated tone. "I can see it all, but never the damn now!"
A decision needed to be made, regardless. Then the strands of time will just weave it into the current braid.
