Hey everyone. I'm continuing the natural ways to ease pain. If you checked out my last post you would see how I talked about helping reduce joint pain using capsaicin. Capsaicin is the heat inducing, spicy component found in chiles that can be found in creams and gels to be applied topically. Capsaicin is a great alternative to taking pills and opioids. Today I will discuss a different type of pain...toothache. Lets get to it...

If you need some pain relief before you can make it your local dentist, then you could try using cloves. Cloves are flower buds from the tropical evergreen tree Syzygium aromaticum. Cloves are rich in a compound called eugenol, which has both antiseptic and anesthetic properties.

For centuries, cloves have been used for breath freshening and tooth pain. Today modern science confirms its efficacy. Clove gel can be applied topically and has been shown to work as well as the topical anesthetic benzocaine gel for easing the pain of needle insertion. Just place the clove near the tooth and keep it there, or pour the oil onto a cotton pad and place on or near the tooth. However, do not ingest large quantities of clove oil, and be sure to check with your dentist to ensure that your tooth pain isn't a sign of anything more serious that needs attention.

Well there you have it. Now you have a natural cure for your next tooth ache. Let me know how it works for you. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out my next natural ingredient to help ease pain. I will see you soon.
