Hi people, today I want to show you my recipe for chicken cake for Cats and Dogs. It is 100% Natural and they love it.
I had an entrepreneurship, making natural treats for cats and dogs in Buenos Aires (I will do a post talking about it at some point). I could only keep it for 1 year and a few months. I had to stop because it became unprofitable. But I learned a lot, and of course, I had a lot of recipes left 😀
Ingredients for the chicken cake:
Preparation:
Chop in medium pieces the breast and boil until cooked.
In a food processor or blender add some chicken broth, the cooked breast pieces, the carrot (raw or cooked, as you prefer), taurine, fish oil and unflavored gelatin. In this step it is important that the chicken broth is very hot, that way the unflavored gelatin is activated.
Mix until you get a chicken paste. Neither liquid nor too thick.
Add 90% of the mixture to a bowl or small mold previously greased (you can use olive or sunflower oil to grease the mold with a napkin). I use a round one, one of those where you can eat ice cream.
Let the mixture rest in the bowl and when it is not too hot, put it in the fridge for about 6-8 hours.
While the mixture rests in the fridge, we will make the top of the cake, which can be with a mold you have at your disposal. I have a cat head and a paw print mold.
With 10% of the mixture we have left, we will make our cat head. For that, we will add 5gr of unflavored gelatin, since we need it to have much more consistency so it can hold.
Fill the mold with the mixture and leave it in the fridge.
When the time has passed and the cake is ready, take it out of the fridge and turn the bowl upside down.
Use a churu or catit creamy to add a topping to the cake.
Finally, place a toothpick to hold the cat's head on the base. And the cake is ready 🤗
Some tips:.
To customize the cakes you just need a lot of creativity 😉
I hope you liked my chicken cake recipe, and hopefully, you are encouraged to make it for your cats or dogs 🥰
