I keyed in "friendship quotes" in Google search box, went through a list, and found the above quote and the next thing that happened is that tears came falling in my eyes. Life has been hard at some point but I never felt I went through the hardship alone. I've always been surrounded by this bunch.
The last quarter of 2022 has been a roller-coaster ride for me, You might have noticed that during these months, I've been less active here. My days and nights were filled with work-related activities, and meetings in the other organizations I'm affiliated with. But despite the busy season, I kinda feel that it's my moral obligation to make time for the people that are important to me. 😁
It was Jelo's birthday. Jelo has always been there to cheer me up when my life turned sour. The least I could do for him is to organize his birthday dinner with the rest of our circle. Well, even for regular meet-ups, I'm always the organizer! What was so funny is that I forgot the exact date of his birthday! I scheduled it on the 4th without realizing his birthday's on the 3rd!Lol! Truly my brain's too occupied to remember details. I greeted him a day late, too! 😂
Nonetheless, we gathered in Acacia Steakhouse. The bright side of being the organizer is that you can choose the restaurant. As much as possible we hop from one to another each time we meet. Except for Pukot which is everyone's favorite, I guess. Hehe! The thing is it's feel like we don't belong here; everyone was prim and proper and we were just loud laughing with the slightest joke someone cracks! 🤣 Just glad we weren't reprimanded.
It was a fun night catching up with friends and celebrating Jelo's birthday. He got a free glass of wine from the Steakhouse. The food was great but there was nothing special in it. Well, that's just my opinion. I can cook and I can cook well. My standards are very high!
