Recently I touristed to tropical Cairns, North Queensland to complete Queensland’s newest parkrun, Kewarra Beach about 20 minutes drive north from Cairns cbd. Fellow tourist tragic, Michael Blain also made the trip for both of us to regain Queensland statesman status meaning that we have completed all 135 operating Queensland parkruns Cloudy sky but no rain provided ideal conditions for running/walking the beautiful flat foreshore tree lined concrete path with views of the Sandy Beach and blue water of the Pacific Kewarra Beach parkrun start area has toilets, Shelters with tables and bench seats, Shady trees and “The Toasted Goat” coffee van conveniently located near the finish serving excellent coffee and a breakfast selection so this parkrun ticks all boxes
