It's been a while since I joined the fun on the HPUD, but since I was approaching a round number, decided to give an extra push to my Hive Power.... and 7000 HP it is!
I haven't set any fixed goals on growth this year, and I am trying to focus more on the how to grow than in the end result, although haven't been that active in the platform as I would hope. Nevertheless, both my HP and LEO stake have been increasing steadily.

I had some more Leo, but decided to take advantage of the pLeo/wMatic farm in Polycub, and there they are, collecting juicy APY.
And speaking of APY, here is another of my focus now: HBD! With the current APR at 20% now, and with crypto market more on the red side, HBD seems a great way to build some more secure wealth.
Compounding interest is one of the roads to financial freedom, and we have a golden opportunity in this platform with HBD. And a quick look at a compounding calculator will prove it. I usually use this one, since you can change basically all variables, but there's plenty to choose from online.
So, let's imagine you gathered enough HBD, and let's start the example with 500 HBD.
At a 20% rate, with monthly compounding, at the end of only one year you'd have 609,70$.
Sure, not life changing money. But... how about in 5 years? 10 years?

Little by little, every HBD you add to those HBD savings will help the ball roll, and getting bigger and bigger. The sooner you start, the bigger the compounding effect. With the current APR, it's a no brainer for me; growing up both my HP and my HBD saving will be the way to go!
