Been long since I went for a getaway. With the world upside down, it was almost impossible to do it just a few weeks back. But now, with things starting to reopen... time to give my help to the economy flow. And the choice was a beautifull village, actually not that far from where I live.

One of the best things in Sintra, for me, it's the great blend between history and nature. This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the things you should put on your to-see list if you visit Portugal!

It's amazing how much time had passed since I came here! And there is soo much to see. From the castle high above, to the ancient buildings, you could easily spend a few days exploring.

And the best part? Nature. Green everywhere!

It felt way to short, thow. A lot of nature trails left unexplored, and a ton of places to rediscover.

And although nature is by far what drives me the most when it comes to travelling, the historical part of Sintra does have it's charm.

One thing for sure, thow: I will be coming back sooner than later. My camera had way too less action than what it deserved. The hard thing will be to choose where to spend the time, between the castles, the nature trails... and relaxing on the cafes eating the typical pastries, such as the "Travesseiro"!

This stamped phrase, read on a wall in the historical centre, is what we should be asking ourselves, every now and then:

Translating from portuguese, it says something like: Today, are you living... or surviving? 馃槈
